Regulations (As supplement to standard regulations for Danish Harbours)
1. Boats are only to be moored in the designated berths, and must - when in Venø Harbour - clearly show vessels name and port of origin.
The boat must be third-party-insured.
2. Berths are designated by the harbour master in the order requests have been received. Requests for mooring permits shall be submitted to the Harbour Master of Venø Havn. Berths are assigned to the boat mentioned in the request and cannot be negotiated, leased, rented or sold. Also the berth is not automatically included when a boat is sold.
3. Lettng of mooring berths comprise one season at a time. The season is from the 1st April to the 15th November. Owners are requested to have their vessels removed from the harbour by the 15th November. If charges and dues for the designated berth are not paid within the given time limit, the mooring place can be re-rented without notice. Should this occur the first boat owner is however not freed from payment liabilities. Termination of the rental must be done in writing to the Harbour Master.
4. Rental of a mooring berth in Venø Havn is valid till it is terminated in writing to the Harbour Master. The berth must be terminated before the 1st April. Not having terminated the rental before the 1st April boat owners wil be charged - and liable to pay - for the full season.
5. Boat owners must accept transferral to another berth if practical or esthetic reasons in the opinion of the Harbour Master make this necessary.
6. The Harbour Master must have immediate notice of the sale or refurbishment of a boat, the changing of its name, change of the owners address or similar changes. The berth is not included in a sale, but can be used by the new owner for the remainder of the season in case the old owner does not wish to do so. No rental refund will be paid by the sale of a boat. If a terminated berth is re-let, a portion of the rental paid by the former lease holder can however be refunded.
7. Berths will have mooring fittings (rings, pegs or the like) and numbers. The Harbour Master must be advised of damages and deficiencies forthwith. A sign showing Free/Occupied can be purchased from the Harbour Master and placed in the designated berth. The sign rests with the boat owner when the vessel is removed at season’s end.
If the boat leaves the berth for a period of more than 24 hours, the Free sign must be shown along with expected time of return.
When boats are removed at season’s end mooring ropes etc. shall be removed from the berth. Halyards and ropes etc. must - during the boats presence in the harbour - be secured against noise emittance. Dinghies and floats etc. can only be moored by a boat if this does not cause inconveniences to other boats.
8. The facilities and areas for winter storage are available only after due agreement with the Harbour Master. Place rental must be paid.
Winter storage spaces are regarded as rented till the Harbour Master is in receipt of letter of termination. Termination of winter storage must be submitted before the 1st September. If termination of winter storage is not received befroe the 1st September, rental for the eminent winter must be paid. Lease holders can store boat trailers, trolleys and supports clearly marked with name, boats name and telephone number in spaces designated by the Harbour Master. Unmarked equipment will be removed without responsibility and liability for the harbour. All spaces must be kept clean and well organised.

Free Harbour System.
Venø Havn is not a member of the Free Harbour System.
Visiting boats.
All visiting vessels are to be moored in berths designated by the Harbour Master.
Visitors pay harbour fees and environmental taxes per 24-hr period from their date of arrival. All charges are paid in advance to the Harbour Master or his representative upon arrival.
Navigation and mooring in the harbour.
During navigation in harbour basins and their approach due consideration to other boats must be shown. Maximum allowed speed is 3 knots. Supplementary “Standard Regulations for Danish Marians and Smaller Fishing Harbours” are enforced.
Boats navigating near or in lee of jetties are often unseen by other navigating traffic. It is therefore necessary for all skippers to show extra vigilance when navigating in these areas.
All boats in Venø Harbour must be in good and safe repair as well as having sufficiently dimensioned bollards and/or hawses.
Boats in pole mooring must have a minimum of two frontal and two rear mooring ropes.
All mooring ropes must be of good quality and in good repair. Mooring ropes must at all times be relative to the boat’s size and weight.
Mooring directly to the jetties or their subconstruction (F.ex. pontoon’s sliding poles) is not allowed.
Landings, discharging etc.
The Harbour Master must be advised of calls at Venø Harbour immediately on or before arrival stating cause and nature and volume of discharge or landing. In accordance with the general practice of Danish Harbours a landing fee of 2,5% of the landed value is charged.
Launching and raising.
Except from dinghies and small boats launching and raising of vessels must be agreed in advance with the Harbour Master, and can only be undertaken to or from the jetty between the mast crane and the slip. Use of the slip is chargeable.
Cleaning.
All cleaning potentially damaging to the environment is only allowed in the designated washing area and only by appointment with the Harbour Master. Use of the washing area is chargeable.
Electricity and water.
Fresh water taps and electricity points are available on the jetties. Usage and consumption to be limited as much as possible. The outlets are open from the 1st April to the 15th November.
Fishermen’s huts.
The leaseholder maintains the hut at his own cost so it is presentable and in good repair and at all times contributes positively to the environment of Venø Harbour. Changes to the hut are only allowed by prior appointment with the board of Venø Harbour.
The annual rent is paid in advance by the 28th February. The rental agreement can be terminated by both parties with a 6 months’ written notice to the first day of any month.
The leaseholder cannot without the written consent of Venø Harbour re-let or transfer the use of the hut to others. If a leaseholder wishes to sell his hut, Venø Harbour enjoys first refusal rights.
The leaseholder can install appropriate technical equipment within the hut, but is liable to restablish the hut to its original state by termination of the rental agreement.
Electricity consumption for normal lighting is inclusive. All other electricity consumption is chargable. Electrical heating is not allowed.
External signposting and advertising as well as external tables, chairs, benches etc. are only allowed by prior written consent of Venø Harbour.
The rented may not be used for any other purpose than the original without prior written consent of Venø Harbour. |

Violations.
Breach of the above regulations and/or of the standard regulations can result in banishment from the harbour area. If a boat owner refuses to accept such banishment or request of (re-)moval of his boat it may be removed - f.ex. placed ashore - at his expense and risk.
All costs including preparation costs are chargable to the boat owner. Banishment is decided by the board on the Harbour Master’s recommendation. In case of banishment no charges incl. prepaid rental will be refunded.
The Harbour Area.
The area comprising Venø Harbour is bordered by the outer jetties. These regulations are enforcable for all visitors as well as vessels with permanent berths in Venø Harbour.
General regulations.
Throwing or emitiance of any substance or refuse in or around Venø Harbour is forbidden.
Refuse and trash is to be placed in the designated containers. Surplus not placeable in these containers is not to be left in or around the harbour.
Oil and/or any potentially damaging fluid shall not be placed in the refuse containers, left on/in the harbour or the washing area.
Discharge of toilets in the harbour is not permitied.
Guests shall use the toilets in the Harbour House or the toilet building on the north side of the harbour. The latter is always open.
Dogs must be on a leach within the harbour area. Dogs’ refuse must be removed immediately.
The throwing or dumping of stones into the harbour basins is forbidden.
Traffic on the protective rock slopes is not permitied.
Unnecessary noise and conduct of inconvenience to others is to be avoided.
Trading within the harbour area is only permitted by prior consent of the Harbour Master.
Parking of cars and trailers is only permitted in the designated spaces.
Enforcement etc.
The regulations are enforcable for all and every one in the area of Venø Harbour including parking spaces and other land areas.
Anybody present in the harbour area shall be liable to accept the guidelines submitted by the Harbour Master.
Violation of the above regulations and/or the standard regulations can lead to banishment from Venø Harbour and charges for incurred costs related to damages etc.
Disagreement with rulings or decisions by the Harbour Master can be referred to the board, but any ruling by the Harbour Master must initially be followed.
